RE: Walk for Life and Visit of Santo Nino de Tondo
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ:
In order to more fittingly and meaningfully celebrate the gift of life from conception to natural death, we shall hold WALK FOR LIFE 2020 on February 15, 2020. This year’s Walk for Life in the Archdiocese of Lingayen Dagupan will coincide with the visit of the pilgrim image of the Santo Nino de Tondo to Pangasinan.
There will be a vigil with the Santo Nino starting at 9:00pm of February 14 until 4:00am of February 15 by the youth of the Vicariates of Saints Peter and Paul and Saint John the Evangelist. During this vigil, the faithful may be blessed under the cape of the Santo Nino.
There will be an introductory spiritual talk by Father Jeffrey Segovia at 4am on the meaning and spiritual relevance of our Walk for Life
The Walk for Life, accompanied by the images of the Lord, will begin at 5:00am and will culminate with a Mass at 6:30am back in the Cathedral.
Kindly inform your parishioners about the visit of the Santo Nino and the personal blessing under the cape of the venerated image, a privilege that accompanies the visit of the pilgrim image. The Santo Nino will stay for public veneration at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist until February 16 at 7pm.
Life is under threat by crime, by disease, by violence, by sin. We are called upon to stand up and be good stewards of life by the power of prayer and love. Let us Walk for Life!
Sincerely yours,
+SOCRATES B. VILLEGAS
Archbishop of Lingayen Dagupan
