RE: Episcopal Ordination
 
Reverend Fathers:
 
We thank the Lord and the Holy See for the grace of a new bishop from among the local clergy of the Archdiocese of Lingayen Dagupan. The appointment of Bishop Fidelis Layog as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Lingayen Dagupan is a sterling recognition of the maturity of our Catholic faith and the richness of our local presbyterium. 
 
His episcopal ordination will be on the 8 ^th of May, 2019 the third Wednesday of Easter and feast of Our Lady of Manaoag at nine o’clock in the morning at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Dagupan City. He will be mentioned in the Eucharistic prayer ONLY AFTER the ordination, as follows:  Francis our Pope, Socrates our bishop, Fidelis his assistant bishop and all the clergy.
 
Please mark the date in your calendar to insure your presence at this momentous occasion not only for the new bishop but for us his brothers in the priesthood. 
 
Let us pray for him. Let us share our financial support as brother stewards for the ordination liturgy and reception. 
 
That in all things God may be glorified.
