As unanimously agreed upon in the monthly clergy meeting today, the Prayer to Saint Michael
MUST be prayed
KNEELING DOWN in all weekday and Sunday Masses (
before the Final Blessing after the Post Communion Prayer) in the Archdiocese of Lingayen Dagupan starting March 10, the first Sunday of Lent until the Solemnity of Christ the King of the Universe on November 24 this year.
Further, after the Closing Prayer at the end of the rosary, the same Prayer to Saint Michael must be prayed before the closing sign of the cross.
The prayer is as follows:
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against
the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
I am personally grateful for this initiative coming from you dear brothers in order to combat the evil spirit so widespread in our midst.
